Emergency Room Visit

Well, the picture isn't the greatest, but Sasha has 2 stiches in her lip and we all went on our first emergency room visit.  It was 7 and we had just got in the bath.  I was getting the shampoo ready to wash hair when I heard a thump and then Sasha crying.  I turned around and Sasha face and mouth were all blood.  I finally got it rinsed enough to see that she had cut her lip open.  I called her Dr who said it was time to go to the emergency room.  While waiting for the Dr however, we did finish the bath including doing hair!  Hey, I gotta keep the schedule going.

We got dressed and headed off to DMH about 20 minues away.  We had to wait about 30 minutes then it was our turn.  After a visit with the intake nurse who said she had actually put her tooth all the way through her lip and out the front.   Her tooth was a little croooked so momma just pushed it back where it should go.  The nurse said we should really let the dentist do that.  Once we got into the ER cubicle, Leeza had to use the bathroom in there while Sasha asked a million questions.  The DR finally came in and said it needed stiches.  They came back with a board and 2 nurses and they strapped her to the board.  Poor kid.  She started to get upset so I promised her a new life vest for our disney trip if she didn't cry and she was so so brave and did not struggle or shed a single tear.  What a trooper.  I was so proud of her.  I would hate to think if it had been Leeza.  We probably would have ended up in the operating room and knocked her out.

SO how did this happen since I was sitting 6 inches from them at the time.  Sasha told me she was sliding in the bath tub.  I didn't quite get it, but the next day the truth came out.  Leeza had convinced Sahsa to slide down her back.  So while Sasha was climbing onto Leeza's back, she fell forward and hit the tub.  Only in the minds of 2 five year olds could that have been a good idea.

Recital Costumes

 Tonight at dance class, the girls got to try on their recital outfits.  They are in 2 dances-ballet and tap.

 This is their ballet outfit.  I was busy helping Saha get her tap outfit on when they were lined up with that one on.  I didn't get any photos of that outfit.

 Leeza loves her dance class.  She gets so excited she can hardly hold still in line.

They like to march in tap class and make a lot of noise.

New Dance outfits

 The girls have outgrown their dance outfits and we went and picked out new ones today.

The girls had a great time picking them out and they love their outfits.  We had to get leg warmers too since the other girls in the class had them!

Snow

 Not alot of snow but they wanted to sled anyway.  It was really about 1" of snow and 1/2" of ice. 

 They made a sort of snow man.  The girls had take chucks of icy snow that had been made when the driveway was plowed and stack them since you could not roll the snow at all.

Leeza pulled Sasha all over the yard.

And More Basketball

 Another basketball practice/game.  The girls are having a great time.  Their coach has done a good job teaching them how to play and play fair. 

 It is rough under the basket and someone is always getting a ball bounced off the top of their heads.

 That basket is a long way up there.

Basketball

 Here they are, the fierce Braves basketball team. 

 Leeza looks like she could be a professional basketbball player in a few years.

 Sasha is just having fun.  She is one of the shorter ones on the team which makes it harder for her.

 Leeza sometimes would rather dance than practice sometimes.

This is Sasha's favorite thing- sitting on the side lines and looking under the curtain towatch the other game going on. 

Squishee Bath

 This is the most disgusting product ever marketed to kids.  You add it to water and it turns into a chunky gel.

 Sasha loved it and stayed in it for over an hour.  Long after it had gotten cold.

 Leeza got out soon after the pictures were taken.  She sort of liked it, but not really.
