Snowmen

There wasn't much snow, but the girls were able to make snowmen.  They used the snowmen kits I got them
They were pretty proud of their accomplishment.  As you can see, we used up most of the snow in the backyard.
But there was enough left for a snowball fight.
Leeza running from Sasha and her snowball!
We made snow angels also.  They showed up ok if you knew where to look.
Sasha was not content with her little snowman.  She wanted to build a BIG snowman.
Leeza and I went back inside and Sasha stayed outside rolling her BIG snowman.  She did great considering how little snow there was.  She only got the bottom done before the melting snow and sun got ahead of her.
The snowmen didn't last the afternoon and melted quickly into little snow piles.  At least we got to make some this year as there has been very little snow.

Happy New Year

Although 2011 ended on a sad note with losing Frosty, it was a good year.

My Frosty

My little Frosty passed away Wednesday night.  She was one tough little girl.  She fought off Cushing's disease for 5 1/2 years.  The vets at U of I said that the life expectancy was only 1-4 years for dogs once they got Cushings.  She had cancer and survived that.  This April right after her 15th birthday, she began to have strokes-most likely from the brain tumor.  She lost an eye and was essentially blind, but she still got around.  Wednesday afternoon, she had another stroke and it was a bad one.  Frosty is finally at rest and is no longer in pain.  I love my little puppy and miss her terribly.  Sasha had bonded with her and called her Sasha's doggie.  She believed that Frosty kept the ghosts and witches away from the house and protected her.  Goodbye my Frosty.  I will miss you and love you forever.

My Christmas Angels

What can I say?  The pictures say it all.  My little Christmas angels.  So beautiful and sweet.  For the rest of my life, their smiles will be the only Christmas presents I will ever want or need.

Merry Christmas

We saved some cookies that the girls and Grandma made so that Santa would have a good snack.
Sants was very very good to the girls this year.  Lots of presents for two good little girls.
My girly girl.  Anything that has anything to do with makeup or hair makes her very happy.
Sasha wanted a xylophone.  She got the whole band.  Lots of noise with this set.
We might as well throw in a guitar.  Wait that is a Dora guitar!  Even better.
I tried to keep up with the used paper, but the girls got me getting the 100,000 twist ties off their toys and putting the 5000 batteries in.
Each girl got a box of assorted clothes.  I think Leeza ended up wearing a total of 8 or 9 different outfits today.
Future engineer ready for the construction site.  Not that mommy is planninng their college years for them already.  Well, maybe just a little.
Another dolly that pees.  This one also talks and actually can poop.  Somehow, the food that makes the poop accidentally got thrown out.  Pee I can handle, a doll that poops- why why why????  The doll comes with 2 diapers.  They lasted about 15 minutes before they were soaked.
Sasha also got a keyboard( the guitar was Leeza's).  This one has a volume control so I love it.
Lots of presents left to go, but you have to hold on to the dolly.
Leeza loves her hairdresser outift.  She wore it for several hours.
They are starting the trading.  They traded a bunch of presents back and forth.  Both seemed happy in the end with what they had.
New t shirt and dool crib and dolls.  I think this was outfit 4 for Leeza for the day.
Just a few of the dolls they got.  There are 7 princess dolls, a barbie and barbie horse, another doll that pees and another Lalaloopsy doll missing from the picture.
They like their tool bench.  It has a light, circular saw, drill press and several other tools.  You can also pound in plastic nails and screw in plastic screws.
You can really saw the wood apart(break the velcro anyway) and drill out the plastic plugs in the wood(plastic ) pieces,
Giving the babies a drink of water that becomes pee about 30 seconds later.  After they used all the diapers up, they let them pee on the sofa and the carpet and just about everywhere.

Christmas Eve

I let the girls open presents from others at different times so they can enjoy each set of gifts.  Too many gifts overwhelm them and they end up not playing with half of them.  On Christmas Eve, we opened presents from Aunt Shawnna, cousin Kelsey and Uncle Dan.
The girls are skilled now in opening boxes and packages of all types.
Sasha got her Lightening McQueen pillow pal that she has been wanting.  Sh carried it around for the longest time and sleeps with it every night.  Leeza and Sasha fight over the pillow most nights.
Leeza got her doll that pees.  It also bounces and giggles and makes a lot of other noises.  After two hours, Leeza asked me to show her the off switch!  She still carried it around, it just didn't make as much noise.
The gifts were a big hit with the girls.
Mom got some towels which the girls quickly claimed.  the box they came in became a bed and the towels- sheets. Maybe I will get to use them in a week or two.

Santa visit

How could that be at the door???
Oh no, Santa has come in person to see if the girls are being nice or naughty.  Which will he decide?
I guess getting a candy cane means that you are on the nice list!  Both girls made the Nice list!  Santa even said mommy made the Nice list.  The girls told Santa what they wanted for Christmas- Leeza wanted a Barbie and Sasha wanted a black music box thing(also known as a CD player).
Santa had time for just a few picutres as he had a busy schedule.  So many children to check on.  At least my girls can rest easy now, they are on the nice list!
