Swimming with Kelsey

 Uncle Dan, Aunt Shawnna and Cousin Kelsey came for a visit on Memorial Day.  The girls had a great time with cousin Kelsey.  They love to swim in their pool.

 Sasha has perfected the swan dive into the little pool.  She gets good airtime and then has a major belly flop landing in the pool.

 Leeza just helping Kelsey down the slide a little faster than Kelsey had been going.

The playhouse got a workout today.

 They also made head band that they all wore to go out to dinner that night at The Texas Roadhouse.

 After swimming, they hung out on the deck for a while.

 They couldn't be serious for too long.

And it pretty much got goofier from here on.  Hopefully we will get out to see Kelsey next summer.

Mother's Day

Mom took her little angels to the restaurant at the airport for Mother's Day.  They have a really good buffet there.

 Then we spent some time riding around in the Brabie Jeep.  They are really good drivers now.

It was a fun day for all. 

Grizzly Jacks and Starved Rock Park

We had a weekend get away to Grizzly Jacks.  The girls love to swim there. On Saturday morning, we went for a hike at Starved Rock park.

We went to see one of the waterfalls in a canyon.

Exploring nature-OK, wondering why mom says to look at the tree while she takes a picture.  Mom thought the roots were neat.

Little girls- big rocks.This was our first hike.  They were very interested in the animal poop we found.  We also found a snail that Leeza really wanted to take home.

After our hike, we went and visited Aunt Shirley and Uncle Kenny and Uncle Ernie.  Then back to more swimming and then to the amusement park.  Here is Sasha on a slide

Now it is Leeza's turn.  They got rid of a few rides and put in the big slide and a bounce house.

We like the little tiger ride.  Nice and fun.

They wanted to go on the Tilt a whirl.  the last time I got on this, it was not good.  So they went by themselves.  All smiles when they got on.  Not so many smiles when they got off.

Sasha would not pose with the big monster that greets you when you walk in, but Leeza did.

Then it was off to bed after a very long day.  They ended up sleeping on top of each other.  They always cuddle close when they are in the same bed.

Grizzly Jacks is always a fun time for the girls.  I like that it is not that far away so don't have too long a drive.  We will be back.

The Circus comes to Mt Zion

The circus came to Mt Zion today.  Before we even went inside, Leeza got to ride a camel.  Sasha thought it was too tall.

They had a face painting booth right inside the tent.  Leeza was a butterfly.

Neither girls liked the clowns, but everyone liked the puppy pirates. After the first act, Leeza wanted to leave.  She did not like the clowns!!!  We went outside to the potty and on the way back she changed her mind and wanted to go back into the circus. It went ok after that, but no one ever liked the clowns. They had a good variety of acts.  At half time, we got our picture taken with a tiger in a glass cage. 

Elephants were the highlight of the show.  The circus was nice since it was small and you were very close to the acts.

Once the circus was over, we went outside and the girls got to ride the elephants.  This one was named Lisa.  Sasha was no longer afraid.

That is a long way up on the back of one big elephant.

After the elephant, we had to ride the ponies.

They went round and round.  Mom was tired at this point and just wanted to go home, but the ponies kept on going for about 5 minutes.

We had a good time at the circus.  I liked this one alot since it was smaller and had simpler acts that the girls enjoyed.

Happy Birthday Leeza

 I always let the girls choose their birthday cakes.  So my princess choose a Princess cake.  The pink castle is actually a doll case for the 4 princess dolls on the cake.  Tinkerbell was the choice for decorations.

 Grandma came for Leeza's birthday.  The girls had fun with Grandma while she was here.

 Sasha is in there somewhere inside the balloon mass.

 Leeza likes getting presents and loves jewelery.

 Lots of balloons were blown up by grandma while mom was out in the garage putting together the Barbie Jeep.  We finished around 11pm.

 Tinkerbell rules the decorations this year.

 I still get Sasha a few presents for Leeza's birthday.  They are on the right of Leeza's

 I tried a new type of pinata. This one you are supposed to pull the strings and one of them lets loose all the candy.

 Leeza got to try the pinata first.  She pulled a few strings no luck.  Then Sasha had a turn- no luck.

 So then I gave Leeza the baseball bat  and let them whack away.  Finally, I went and just ripped the bottom open.
