Day 4

The day started off with a wimper. Little sister was in a swing with her group and when mom came to get her. She did not want to leave the swing so we had to immediately go to a new swing to keep the tears away. The grip on the arms rests says you are NOT going to get me out ot THIS one that easy! Big sister just went with the flow - not sure what all the fuss was about.

The lure of all the toys quickly won out however. The prize toys of the day were the kitchen towel I brought to wipe the toys off when they got dirty and the pacifier that I was brought to give to another family since I thought they were too old for it.

They always have an eye out for what everyone else is doing. Even though she is surrounded by toys, there may be a better one somewhere else! I did get Big sister to say "du" when we were playing with the ducky toy. Any sound out of the girls is a big deal right now.

I do think that Big sister is getting some molars in which is probably why she liked chewing on the pacifier. You never know day to day what they will find fascinating. I bought some wooden puzzles for tomorrow. I am sure they will find the bag I bring them in to be the best toy of the day, but maybe they will look at the puzzles a little bit.
Little sister is getting a cough. There is something going through the baby house right now making all of the kids congested and coughing. I hope she does not get too sick or I will not be able to visit her. We had our visit outside again. I had the choice of inside or outside visits the last 2 days. It is so much cooler outside and they need the fresh air and sunshine. It does get dirty, but we stay on the blanket for the most part. Towards the end of the visit, Big sister was getting excited and started running around a little bit. You get glimpses every once in a while of what their personality is going to be when you are finally allowed to see it. I know the 2 quiet well behaved children I see now won't last too long when they get home.

I did get a big smile from Big sister when she learned how to roll the rings. She picks things up very fast. Notice the grip on the pacifier and all the toys tucked under her legs.
I played peep a boo with the kitchen towel and got a little smile from Little sister. Over all she just enjoyed playing with the towel. the toughest thing of the visits is that is is usually in the last 15 or 20 minutes that the girls loosen up and start to really have fun. One hour is such a short time for a daily visit. One more visit tomorrow and then I have to go the weekend without seeing them. I'm sure it will be much harder on me than on them

I swear I didn't let my poor little sick kid breathe on your kids! I’m sure the little one will be fine tomorrow. Your girls are just darling and I love how they share their toys so nicely. I know they will love the puzzles you bought them today.

I am sorry to hear one of the girls is not feeling well. I hope it passes really quickly. I love the story about the kitchen towel. no matter what you think your kids will like it always ends up being the box or the bag or the paper that really fascinates them. I am sending extra Friday time to vibes to both you and Abby. I know how hard the weekend can be.
