Everyone especially Little sister was sick today. When we pulled up to the baby house, the girls group was not outside yet. As we waited, I could hear someone crying loudly inside the building. It sure sounded like Little sister. After a few minutes, our coordinator came out and said Little sister was sick and they wanted us to bond inside today in the music room. When I went into the music room, the 2 girls were there, both looked like they had been crying. Little sister was still crying. She had a fever and cough and did not feel good. The doctor gave my coordinator a list of medicine for me to buy so she went off to get the medicine so the girls could have it today. Big sister has a slight cough and no fever, but she will probably be sick soon. Little sister just wanted to be held and cried for a few seconds every once in a while. I had brought the blocks, but they had limited interest since both were not feeling the best. The stickers I had in my bag were Big sisters favorite today. She had stickers all over her face when the doctor came in to take their temperature. Fortunately, they have a very nice doctor. She told me I should let Little sister sit on the floor since she would be too hot if I continued to hold her. When I went to put her on the floor, Little sister let her wants be know-very loudly. I am sure that she was the kid crying when I first got there. She knows how to make herself heard which is a good thing in the baby house. Hopefully, the medicine will help them feel better. Although, I think it is mainly the cold that Jake had last week, just making the rounds of the baby house. They told us that the kids were sick because they had been outside last week and sat on a blanket on the ground. To the Kaz, it is too cold out to do that. It was in the upper 90s all last week. We will probably be in the very hot music room from now on. It had been nice to be outside.
No smiles from anyone at the start of the hour. Not seeing them for 2 days is tough as they do not understand that you are not allowed to visit.
I'm not sure what her temperature was, but you could tell she had a fever and she did not want to play.
Towards the end of the hour, once again, both started to loosen up and they enjoyed playing with the stickers.
I did get a few smiles from Big sister. She did play with the blocks some and was able to stack a few together.
Little sister did hold onto one block for most of the hour. Such a sad little face. I hope she feels better tomorrow. And I hope Big sister does not get sick.

I'm sorry the girls weren't feeling well. It did seem like what Jake had last week. The good news is the medicine seemed to help a lot so hopefully they will be back to their normal selves in no time. I spent my first two weeks in the music room and was really enjoying being outside but I'm sure you'll agree that no matter where you are it's good to be with your kids!

How sad they both look. It is a good thing that Mom was there to hold them. That means a lot. Hope they are feeling better soon.
I am so sorry the girls are sick. I hate to see those sad faces. I hope the medicine helps and thy feel better tomorrow.

Oh, I know what that is like! I hope they are better soon and that you don't get the bug too.
Barbara and I are following your activities with the greatest interest. Best wishes to you and your girls. John
